We had a great time diving with Megan this weekend at Beaver Lake. She completed her SDI Advanced Adventure Diver course. We had fun dialing in buoyancy and swimming through floating rings, learning the ropes with underwater photography (u/w pictures taken by Megan!), zooming across the dive park on DPVs, searching for (and finding) some deep water, and using the compass to swim in square and triangle patterns. We couldn`t have asked for nicer weather either.

Haven’t been reading a ton in the last week, but got to take a short weekend trip with my partner for our anniversary to Eureka Springs, AR!! It was such a blast with a lot of history and good food and amazing sights!!

My last race did not go as planed... 🩹🤕
Pre-ride went great, stay posted for videos from that, then race day came and my bike slide right out from under me on stage one. I was going straight, no turns, curves, or jumps, just straight and the rocks just gave away.
Jumped right back up tried to peddle, bike didn`t move, so I picked it up and ran across the finish line. Got bandaged up, then hiked 1/4-1/2 mile out to the service road when I waited to be picked up and taken to the ER.
Busted my helmet and tore up my knee pretty bad. Had surgery to clean out the woud all of the way and repair my tendon. I am out for the season, but not for the count. Whatever it takes, I`ll be back next year, stronger and better than ever. Ain`t nothing gonna keep me down.
